Margo Ink Tattoo Studio Policy

1. Consultation

All consultations are conducted online. Clients must send a detailed description of their tattoo vision, along with reference images, the desired size, and placement. You may also include a photo of the area to be tattooed, which can help clarify placement. After reviewing the information, I will confirm the design or suggest adjustments and provide a rough price estimate.

2. Pricing and design details

All tattoos are priced based on the design's composition, size, and placement. Clients must provide accurate details about these factors to receive an initial price estimate. The final price may vary if the design significantly changes in size or complexity after the consultation. Please note that I create all designs from scratch, drawing them myself based on the reference pictures provided by the client. I do not copy or replicate existing designs.

3. Deposit

A non-refundable deposit ranging from £30 to £50 is required to secure your booking. This deposit is applied toward the total cost of the tattoo. Paying the deposit indicates that you are familiar with my style and have chosen to work with me. Without the deposit, no appointment will be booked, as it ensures your spot. If the deposit is not received within a reasonable timeframe, the appointment slot will be made available to other clients.

4. Design style and expectations

  • Clients should be aware of my tattoo style and aesthetic. I specialize in fine line, linework, blackwork and the design you request should align with this style to ensure the best results. I encourage clients to review my portfolio to understand the quality and style of work I offer. Custom design suggestions can be made during the consultation if necessary.

  • Please note that I design all tattoos the day before the scheduled appointment and send the design to the client in the evening. This is an exception to the usual practice in most studios, where designs are often finalized on the same day. I do this to give my clients the opportunity to review the design and request any changes, ensuring you are completely happy with the final result before we begin.

5. Cancellation and rescheduling

  • Cancellations are allowed up to 7 days prior to the scheduled appointment. In such cases, the deposit will be refunded. If cancellation occurs less than 7 days before the appointment, the deposit will be forfeited.

  • Rescheduling is allowed once using the original deposit, provided the rescheduling request is made at least 24 hours in advance. If rescheduling is not done within this timeframe, the deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to book a new appointment.

6. Late arrival and no-shows

Clients are allowed a grace period of 15 minutes for smaller tattoos and 30 minutes for full sessions. If you arrive later than this, your appointment may be shortened or rescheduled, and additional charges may apply. If you fail to show up without prior notice, your deposit will be forfeited.

7. Accompaniment policy

To ensure a comfortable and focused environment, I ask that clients come alone to their tattoo appointment. This includes no family members, children, or friends. Exceptions will be made for matching tattoos, where the individuals involved may attend together.

8. Age requirement

The minimum age for receiving a tattoo is 18 years old. No exceptions will be made.

9. Aftercare instructions

After your tattoo session, I will apply a second-skin wrap to protect the tattoo for the first three days. After this period, the wrap should be removed, and I recommend applying a thin layer of Be-Anthem cream after showering. Additionally, sun exposure should be avoided; please use sunscreen if you're on holiday or in the sun. Avoid sunbathing, swimming pools, and the gym for at least two weeks to ensure proper healing and maintain the tattoo's quality.

10. Touch-up and corrections

I offer free touch-ups within 2 months of the original tattoo session. It is the client's responsibility to ensure proper care and follow-up for any necessary corrections, as my availability may be limited. After 2 months, any corrections or touch-ups will be charged at the normal tattoo rate and booked as a regular tattoo session.

11. Studio cleanliness and safety

The safety and cleanliness of my studio are of the utmost importance. The studio is thoroughly sterilized before and after every client to maintain a clean and safe environment. I use only disposable needles, grips, and other materials to avoid any risk of contamination. This ensures that all procedures are carried out with the highest level of hygiene, and the studio is kept clean at all times to ensure your health and safety.

12. Walk-ins

We do not accept walk-in clients. All appointments must be scheduled in advance to ensure proper time and preparation for each tattoo.
